Insurance & ClaimsFull-time
Insurance Claims Specialist
Bristol, CT · Madison, WI · Rochester, NY
Full-time
$80,000 – $150,000 / year
Own the claim from first inspection to final invoice. You are the homeowner's guide through the least familiar process they will go through all year — and the person who makes sure the scope of loss reflects what is actually on the roof.
Full description — responsibilities, requirements, benefits
What you'll do
- Perform documented roof and property inspections and build a complete photo record of every elevation and slope
- Prepare detailed damage documentation and line-item repair estimates in Xactimate
- Meet the carrier's field adjuster on site and walk the roof with them, presenting our documentation of the damage
- Track every open claim through its lifecycle and keep homeowners updated at each milestone
- Coordinate with production so approved scopes get built exactly as written
- Review carrier scope sheets against the field findings and prepare supplement requests for missed line items
- Maintain clean, audit-ready claim files
What we need from you
- Comfortable on a roof and able to inspect safely
- Clear written communication — your documentation has to stand on its own
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice to have
- Xactimate certification (Level 1 or higher)
- HAAG or IICRC certification
- Experience with EagleView, CompanyCam, or similar documentation tools
- Bilingual English/Spanish
What you get
- No salary caps
- Ongoing certification paid for by us
This role documents damage and presents our estimate. It does not negotiate or adjust claims on a homeowner's behalf — that requires a public adjuster license in most states.
